Fees & Funding
NDIS-funded and private Occupational Therapy services.
How therapy is funded
Little Hearts Occupational Therapy offers both:
NDIS-funded Occupational Therapy, and
Private Occupational Therapy services for children who are not NDIS participants.
This allows families to access support regardless of funding type.
NDIS-funded services
Little Hearts Occupational Therapy provides Occupational Therapy services to children funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) under the Improved Daily Living (Capacity Building) supports.
Services are billed in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, using the appropriate Occupational Therapy line items.
NDIS plans accepted:
Plan-managed
Self-managed
Services are not currently available for NDIA-managed plans.
Private therapy services (non-NDIS)
Private Occupational Therapy services are available for families who:
Do not have NDIS funding
Are awaiting NDIS access or plan approval
Prefer to access therapy privately
Private sessions are charged at a private hourly rate, which will be discussed with families prior to commencement. Private invoices can be provided for Medicare or private health insurance rebates where applicable.
What fees include
Fees may include:
Direct therapy sessions
Assessment and observation
Therapy planning and preparation
Liaison with schools and other professionals (with consent)
Written feedback related to therapy goals
Any travel required for mobile sessions is charged separately and discussed with families before therapy begins.
Reports and assessments
Written reports (such as progress reports, school support letters, or NDIS review reports) are billed separately from therapy sessions.
Families will be advised of the estimated time and cost before any report is completed.
Service agreements
All families receive a service agreement before therapy commences. This outlines:
Fees and billing arrangements
Session frequency and duration
Travel charges
Cancellation policy
This helps ensure clarity and transparency.
Cancellations
If a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, families are asked to provide as much notice as possible.
Late cancellations may be charged and are outlined clearly in the service agreement.
